Tumblr (3.0; @basesdrunk)http://basesdrunk.com/<p>With many of the big-name free agents signed, here are my favorite pickups so far (alphabetical):</p> <p><b>Eric Bedard to the Pirates</b></p> <p>Call me an optimist but I think this could work out great for the impoverished Pirates.</p> <p><b>Jonathan Broxton to the Royals</b></p> <p>$4 million seems a bit much, but the Royals know how to work a bullpen and Broxton’s stuff can be electric.</p> <p><b>Mark Buehrle to the Marlins</b></p> <p>Not only is he a great vet to have around those young arms, he helped pave the way for the later moves by showing the league the Marlins were serious this winter.</p> <p><b>Aaron Hill to the Diamondbacks.</b></p> <p>Loads of talent, could make the D’backs look really smart if he stays healthy.</p> <p><b>Jason Marquis to the Twins</b></p> <p>Twins haven’t done much this off-season, but Marquis looks like a low risk signing that could work very well.</p> <p><b>Albert Pujols to the Angels</b></p> <p>Massive addition, it can not be minimized what Albert’s patient bat will bring to that group of free swingers.</p> <p><b>Kelly Shoppach to the Red Sox</b></p> <p>Not a great bat, but a solid defensive catcher who can hit LH’s.
